Home remedies to remove skin tags that really work

Skin tags refer to small growths or flaps of skin that are usually around the neck, breasts, eyes, armpits, or groin.

These can be caused by skin irritation, obesity, friction and even genetics. Although these growths are harmless, many people consider them annoying and others would like them to leave for aesthetic reasons.

Fortunately, there are methods at home that can help you with your problem. Below are the home remedies to remove the skin tags with minimal effort.

Apple vinager

This vinegar is a great option to remove skin tags due to its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.

Wash and completely dry the area around the label. Apply a little apple vinegar to a cotton ball and apply it on the protrusion. Keep the cotton ball in place for up to 15 minutes. Do this 3 times a day until the skin’s label darkens, dries and falls off.

The use of apple cider vinegar is not recommended for skin tags near the eyes.

Coconut oil

This oil contains lauric acid, a powerful antimicrobial that kills fungi, viruses, bacteria and protozoa by dissolving their cell walls.

Simply rub coconut oil on the labels of your skin every night before going to bed. Within a few weeks, the label should be greatly reduced or gone.

Tea tree oil

The tea tree is an anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antibiotic oil. For centuries, it has been used medicinally in the treatment of all kinds of ailments. It is effective in the treatment of skin disorders, in particular, skin tags.

If irritation occurs, you can mix tea tree oil with a carrier oil such as coconut, before applying it topically.

Dandelion juice

Harvest a fresh dandelion and squeeze its root gently to extract its milky juice. Apply 3 drops to the skin tag 3 times per day. With continuous application, the label should disappear completely in just 4 weeks.

Oregano oil

Oregano oil has antifungal properties that can alleviate a large number of skin conditions, including skin tags.

You can make your own oregano oil by simply letting the fresh oregano infuse in olive oil for several weeks, before brewing. Oregano essential oil can also be diluted with a carrier oil such as sweet almond or jojoba.

This oil should be applied directly on the labels of your skin 3 times a day and let it air dry before covering it with a bandage. Repeat this daily until you achieve the desired results.


Liquid iodine can be painted on skin tags or warts 1 time a day. There were people who said that the skin tags fell off in a matter of days.

Iodine breaks down skin cells and causes them to fall safely. However, you should not apply to the surrounding skin; You can do this by rubbing a barrier of coconut oil over healthy skin before applying iodine with a swab to the label.

Vitamin E oil

Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant with important properties for skin health and can be applied topically to skin tags.

Use only pure, high-quality vitamin E formulated for topical treatment. Apply the liquid to the skin tag and use a bandage to cover it. Change the dressing and vitamin E oil every day after cleaning the affected area. You must repeat this process every day for several weeks or months until the label disappears.


Garlic enhances the antifungal, antiviral, antibacterial and anti – inflammatory properties. It is believed that it removes warts and skin tags naturally in a few weeks.

Crush a clove of garlic and soak it in a cotton ball. Before going to bed, you should apply it to the skin tag and cover it with a bandage. Wash it in the morning to eliminate the spicy smell of garlic. Repeat the process the next night, take a 2-night break to reduce the risk of skin irritation.
